While Google continues to dominate search with a reported 87% share of the US market, there are a number of search engines competing for the #2 spot, which is currently held by Bing which has approximately 6% of the search market. Yahoo! is in 3rd place but has been losing market share for years. Meanwhile, DuckDuckGo has been steadily gaining market share over time.
If this trend continues, it will eventually pass Yahoo!, and that might happen sooner than later thanks to a massive $100 million dollar investment that they quietly raised in 2020. The chart below shows the steady traffic growth of DuckDuckGo over the past 10+ years.
